Guest guest
DEAR . I am holding your whole family in my daily thoughts. My , they have been thru so very much , as have you too!! I know that scares a parent to death when their kiddo's are sick ----so sick as this , especially. I hope it will continue to improves. LOVE & HUGS, GrandmomBEV kids sick hello everyone sorry been so long since i posted been busy we left here on sunday the 2nd to go visit my husbands family in ill. we stayed with his brother and his family and we were there till thursday we were going to stay till sunday but his brothers wife keep leaving the door open and the kids were sleeping right by it and got sick so we had to come home early to get kids to the doctor good thing we did cuz devin was so sick he ended up having to be taken to st. mary's in rochester by helicopter and he was put on a vent for 8 days he just got off of it yesterday and he was put in a coma so he would not fight the vent and then after they took him off that they thought that he was going to have to go back on but he pulled out of it with some steriods and then his heart started acting up it went all the way down to 62 at one point but after they stopped all his sedation meds he pulled out of that. they took him out of icu today and to the regular peds floor and they think he will be there for about a week or more they are checking his tyroid out and if it is not normal they will put him on meds for that the reason they are checking that is cuz his soft spot is not closin and sometimes it will not close due to tyroid trouble if it comes back normal then they will keep him and put a shunt in the surgeon that will do that surgery is a nice doctor and explained everything really good then when we were on our way back from rochester my sister called me since she had my other three kids and katelyn had statred runing a 104.5 temp sp we took her back in and they admitted her for the cold her o2 was only at about 86 or so so she was in from friday till tuesday hunter got sick also but did not enfd up getting admitted so that was good so as you can all tell i have had one heck of a two weeks i just came home tonight to get some much needed rest and relaxtion for being at the hospital for over a week hope you are all well heather ------------------------------------------- The opinions and information exchanged on this list should IN NO WAY be construed as medical advice. Guest guest
> - It sounds as thought you have had a hectic time lately. How old are your children anyways? I can't imagine a child dealing to well with the whole vent thing so it was probably a good thing that they put him in a coma.(it's amazing what they can do with medicines.) I will keep your kids in my mind and heart and I will say a prayer for them. Hope everything continues to look up and they all get better soon. > > Date: 2003/03/16 Sun PM 11:46:40 EST > To: cfparents > Subject: kids sick > > Christal mom of Tristan 6ncf, Zack 2wcf & asthma, Ki'a 4mthsncf
