Guest guest
Dear Kim, Your always so very informative. Is --would that be helpful for me to take at my age as well.? It sure sounds like it would. I only take natural supplements now BUT , I take 9 each day in am. I would think it would be. By the way, how are the " school days " coming along. ?? When are you all out up there. Ours are out now. -that's why I am taking all -yes, all to beach. some will be coming & going , due to jobs, etc & cant ask off for full week. BUT....Come on down.........:) LOVE & HUGS, GRDMBEV........... BEV Re: Kim/question about Magnesium P.s. The magnesium tablets are rather large, or so says my daughter, who gags on anything larger than half an M & M. But the tablets are easily broken in half, and you can grind them into a fine powder with a mortar and pestle to sprinkle into fruit juice, fruit sauce, or warm cereals. Magnesium is better absorbed if taken with an acid-causing food, such as meat. I don't eat much meat anymore, so I take my magnesium with cranberry juice, citrus juices, and coffee. And I take a vitamin C tablet with my magnesium. You can also absorb magnesium through the skin. Get some Epsom salts -- which is magnesium sulfate. Pour some into the bath water and enjoy a nice soak. But *don't* drink the water! Remember, magnesium sulfate at high doses can cause diarrhea if taken internally. If you have a child who thinks he's too old for tub baths, then try to cajole him into a foot soak -- just add Epsom salts to a pan of warm water and soak the feet. The magnesium will be absorbed through the skin. While you're doing the Epsom salt bath soak, add some essential oils such as tea tree, eucalyptus or lavender. The steamy vapors from the tub, mixed with the essential oils, will clean the bugs out of the lungs and sinuses. Just don't let the water splash into the eyes -- watch children closely. You can also buy magnesium creams. Compounding pharmacies, such as Bev's pharmacy can make these for you based on a doctor's prescription. Or I have a recipe if anyone is interested and if I can find it again. Maybe n can put her fingers on the recipe faster than I. Okay, now I'm off to bed. Guest guest
Hi Kim, I just told about the mg and asked if she would take it if I got some for her. She said no. She won't take anything that the doctor doesn't prescribe. So I was wondering if you could get to write her and tell her how it helped him and everything? It probably won't make a difference but it's worth a try. She cultures Maltophilia and Staph and sometimes aspergillus and I still think she has pseudo in there somewhere even though it hasn't shown up in her cultures for years. She is on albuterol and Tobi and I can't remember if she is on any of those other meds you said deplete mg. She does take calcium citrate which the nutritionist recommended since she doesn't drink milk. along with ADEKs, those are her only vitamins because that is what the doctor recommends. Maybe you could send this on to ? Her email addy is AngLeigh@... and he doesn't need to talk down to her, shes 19. Thanks in advance, I really think the Mg sounds like a great idea. But she won't listen to me, I am just her mom, you know the feeling? love,
