I agree with Bert wholeheartedly. I am a RN in a large teaching

hospital and with a TP there is always ICT. Unless there is an

extreme cancerous state and the TP is done for paliative purposes.

I would strongly recommend finding out why they would choose not tto

transplant the Islet of Langerhans cells and perhaps find a

physician with whom you can have a second opinion in regard to ICT.

I am a firm beleiver in and ounce of prevention rather then pound of

cure. Good luck and I dont know how the med insureance is in GB but

here we can have up to 3 opinions and more depending on the degree

of illness (and different HMO's have different variants).
