Guest guest
Heidi, It might be worth it to stay in the hospita overnight to show them how bad the night sweats are. And maybe they'll have some clue as to what's causing them. I hope you are having some pain free days, I know the antioxidants are helping me too. I went off them for a while and then restarted them and couldn't believe the difference. I was barely awake at anytime and in a lot more pain when I had gone off them. As long as I take the antioxidants (the vitamin C in particular), I'm able to stay awake for at least most of the day (though I still tend to fall asleep on the computer and while reading). Guest guest
Kimber, Maybe your right about going in for an overnight hospital stay. But if it's anything like my last hospital stay, I don't know what good it will do. I never got one night's worth of sleep last time...(smile)! Too much noise and people moving around!! Thanks for the suggestion, though. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina SC & SE Regional Rep. PAI, Intl. Guest guest
Heidi, I can certainly understand the no rest during a hospital. Because we are both diabetic, we get to be woken up every 4 hours for blood sticks. Really makes it difficult to get any rest. I have to usually do that after I get home. Going into the hospital is always a two-edged sword. Sometimes it's good (too get the pain in control and document your problems) and sometimes it's bad (no good pain meds, bad doctor, no rest, etc). Hope you have pain free days ahead of you. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@... Note: All advice given is personal opinion, not equal to that of a licensed physician or health care professional. Guest guest
Hey Heidi girl ! remember at the symposium you and I talked about getting your thyroid checked due to your night sweats and hair loss ? Did you have your blood drawn to check your thyroid ? Signed, Lily from Ohio An update re: burn-out and night sweats My follow-up appointment was yesterday and I just wanted to report that the labs that were taken when I was having my last psducocyst flare-up were: amylase 42, and lipase 30. This is the first confirmation of very low A & L readings since my pancreas burn-out. I have to go back in two weeks for yet another lab test, another CBC, an IGE and a GMP. I need to look up the last two tests to see what they actually are. My GI and Internal Medicine doctor is still trying to uncover the cause of my nightly horrendous night sweats. He's threatening now to admit me into the hospital overnight with an Endo and an Infectious Disease Specialist to get to the bottom of this, since it's been causing me so much sleep deprivation that I'm falling asleep anywhere and everywhere at the drop of a hat.....I even fell asleep in his examining room yesterday while waiting for him. That's really all my news. I've been having a bit of a rough few days with some pain, but nothing that my meds can't handle. I ran out of antioxidants last week and am waiting on my reorder, which should arrive today. My increase in pain seems to coincide with the failure to take the daily pancreatic antioxidants, so that strengthens my belief that they're working for me. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H.
