Guest guest
Kim - Wow. You are an incredible writer. I always enjoy your posts but this one hit close to home. Everyone tells me how strong I am - I guess we all hear that - since people don't know what to say about all we do - but that WE don't acknowledge and believe it. I know not everyone can cope with all this madness but I think the isolation of it gets to me. When the kids were little you would talk to people about formula, diapers, etc. with CF there is no one to talk to; hence I found this wonderful group! I think that losing that connection to husbands, family, friends is a big part of the depression. These are the most significant people in our lives and they really don't get what we feel. It makes you feel more isolated and like a failure. Its when you talk to other parents of kids with CF do you realize that you are OK!!! That what you think, feel and do is NORMAL....... Hang in there everyone...I am bracing for a snowstorm and packing for Florida - Disneyland - with the big Mouse. Rosemary from New York with 3 children with CF - they are 12.5, 10, 6...... I coined the phrase " BREATHE DAMMIT " ; we have a dog we named -are you ready for this - TOBI after their medication!!! At least it wasn't albuterol or Coly...
