connection for this disease.

in a little town in Idaho

This is interesting to me, because I live in a little town in Idaho and the

doctors have been wonderful to me. Maybe I have not been as sick as most of

you but have had , I think 5 attacks and was in for three months a year ago

and several days twice this summer. I have spent some time in Intensive care

I live a little ways from Idaho Falls Idaho and we have a good G.I doctor

there and a good one In Pocatello.

Where were you in Idaho?

Hi Michele,

I have read this web site for a while and it seems to me that an unusually

high number of posters (with CP) are either in the Midwest or are from the

Midwest. The states of Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, and Kentucky don't

have

high populations and yet they seem to be home to many cases of CP. CP is almost

a rare disease in any case.

I'm originally from Indiana. I don't have firm statical data to support this

theory, it's just from casual observation.

Well even without hard data it is an interesting theory. I wonder what other

common threads we have to bring us to this point. I had diabetes prior to

being diagnosed with CP. Maybe it is a common diet when we were younger. I

worry my daughter will end up with this she is 2o and has had tummy trouble

on and off for a few years now. That was how I started not even knowing what

I had until I had a serious bout of keatoasdosis (sugar went to 1,594) and

acute Pancreatitis then the dead tissue showed up and the psudocysts and it'

s be down hill from there. Been having a bad run since September and was in

the hospital again then. Fourth time in the past year. Now on LTD.
