Guest guest
Thank you Michele...I feel like a huge weight has been lifted. Are you flying back from Iowa the same day as Collin's appointment? Re: I am nuts!! I'm so glad your nuts !!! What a relief! I still think your a great mom, just for following your intuition and checking, it never hurts to check!!!! Guest guest
Michele, Thanks for the words of encouragement, especially when you aren't doing well yourself. I remembered that we have much in common, the diabetic ketoacidosis, CP with pseudocysts, etc., and was wondering what was troubling you now. Is it your pancreatitis or is it the diabetes? What's the status of your pseudocyst(s) now? Fortunately, my diabetes has behaved and my numbers are good. But they SHOULD be because of the NPO and then since I got home I haven't been able to eat hardly at all, so there's nothing to make them act up! So the weight loss cycle has begun again......sigh....and I hadn't even been able to graduate back up to a size 4 yet! I remember you talking about going on disability with such disappointment because you really loved your job. Were you already awarded SSDI disability or are you in process? After this last hospitalization and prolonged time in bed, I know there's just no way I can attempt to keep working. I'm just not able to make any more commitments of my time with all this stuff going on. I foolishly took another job a couple months ago, when I was feeling better, and am now caught with only 85% of the work complete. I just can't leave clients hanging like this anymore. I hope today is a better day for you, and that you're climbing out of the trenches. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina SC & SE Regional Rep. PAI, Intl. Guest guest
Hi Heidi, I have submitted my LTD forms and will be applying for Canadian disability pension. Doctor’s are saying one of my cysts is smaller as of sept 1st but over all I feel things slipping. My pain is much worse and the vomiting is back. So I am just taking things a day at a time. My diabetes is flaring up and my sugars hit 450 or higher almost daily so that’s a struggle in it’s self. I sleep most of the day and still feel weak and tired. I worry about you, you take things easy. I feel so bad your holidays were disrupted. My doctor effuses to let me travel and gives me grief if I even go to the boat. The fresh air is so nice and even if we don’t take it out I relax more there. But I wish I could go some place and place. Maybe in time. Be well sweetie I think of you often. Michele Michele Michele, Thanks for the words of encouragement, especially when you aren't doing well yourself.
Guest guest
They haven't let me know yet, I know we will fly out on Thursday sometime because his appoinment is at 9 am on friday, but I don't know if we go back friday night or saturday morning, etc. They haven't given me all the details yet. She told me pilots usually volunteer during the weekend, so hopefully I will here something Monday or Tuesday. I'm not going to make hotel reservations until I find out about our flights, etc. MIchele Collin's story at http://www.geocities.com/chele323232 > Thank you Michele...I feel like a huge weight has been lifted. > > Are you flying back from Iowa the same day as Collin's appointment? > >
