Are we on to something?

Being from the midwest, maybe we all grew up meat and potatoes? High fat

diets that after years of imprinting, took their toll? My CP is from high

triglycerides and I know that I'm really a red meat and potato girl. Well,

obviously,

not anymore. I know though, that I loved (past tense) KFC, Mc's, Pizza

Hut, and I think it has to do with so much fat and red meat as a kid. I never

had fish until I was 30, and my parents favorite salad dressing was Thousand

Island--homemade with mayo, ketchup and capers.

This is my first holiday season with CP and I'm seriously wondering how I'm

going to tell my SIL that on Thanksgiving I can't have the gravy, stuffing,

wine, and all the foods she'll make. I know she'll be offended that I can't eat

what she serves, but I'm really in a quandry about this. And, I usually host

Christmas with a prime rib, oven baked potato quarters in butter, Yorkshire

pudding, croissants, cheesecake, etc. I guess I should just make these foods for

our kids, their families, etc., and have a chicken breast? I don't know. I'm

new to this. How do you all do this?

I've gone to look for myself. If I return before I find me, keep me here!
