Guest guest
The dosage is related to the patients weight, height, and bugs, I believe. Try webmd.com, or call your CF Center. A long time ago, I had crappy insurance through my husband's work (HMO) and they forced us to use a different Home Health Agency. When the cF docs put Nick on IV's, I asked for the dosage, and how to calculate it's dilution according to the length of time the iv was to be administered over, as well as what the total concentration was to be given for Nick's height and weight at that time. BOy was this a lifesaver!!! The stupid home health totally miscalculated and sent out highly concentrated iv's which would have been very toxic to Nick. Needless to say, I was immediately on the phone to my health insurance, and we were allowed to go back to our old home health agency and have not had a problem since.
