Sandi,

Your physical description of pain sounds exactly like what we have going on

around here. My son gets the " stitch " in his side...I do not. I didn't even

know if it was a part of his pancreatitis, or something unrelated, but it has

been a part of his pain the last 1/2 doz attacks.

The shoulder pain is something he gets prior to his abdominal pain getting

so bad. The shoulder ache is something, if we catch early enough, we go to

the chiropractor and do a little acupuncture to hopefully avoid a bad attack.

This seems to work more times than not.

I get the back pain. I have it with my most severe attacks. I just always

wrote it off to being " how I am " , as I had back labor when I had my son. (My

husband just says I tend to be " backassards " - but he says it lovingly~)
