Hello

I just wanted to make a comment about Cross Infection and the Camp....

I am aware of the Risks....We do have rules in place and CF patients will

have to submit a sputum prior to attending....

No history of B. Cepacia, No MRSA within the last 2 years, and no

pan-resistant bugs....this includes Pseudo.

The CF camps that operate now have not had any child come down with any

resistant bacteria....This included Camp Funshine in Texas and Camp Jenney in

Nebraska.

I do have a CF doc working with me to set up the infection control

guidelines....so its not just a person doing this hap-hazardly....

Plus I am a nurse and have CF so I am aware of Cross Infection issues for

those with CF.

Think of all the CF patients that attended camps growing up...HOUNDREDS ! ! !

It is just such a positive thing and the camp is not just for CF

people..Asthmatics and whatnot are also welcome...
