Guest guest
Heidi, just an fyi about the University Place Convention hotel. When I went to the symposium last year, I didn't fiind any available rooms by internet, but when I called they had rooms available. I was able to get the price reserved for patients at the hospital since the symposium was held at the hospital. The price was $99.00. I don't know if you can get it now since this year's symposium is at the convention center. So, you might want to check with the hotel by phone and see if there are any availabilities that the net doesn't always show. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@... Guest guest
Shirley, I'm afraid I will not be able to go to this year's symposium. I'm in the process of applying for SSDI and my lawyer has advised me that if I travel, SSA could consider it grounds to deny my application (i.e. if you can travel, you can work). However, if between now and tthe Aug. date I get an approval, I'll be there if I can get tickets and a room. As soon as my SSDI application is resolved, I will then continue to attend the yearly symposiums whenever possible. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@...
