Dear Sandy, and to all....

We have had a horrible time using play dough in this house. We don't do it

anymore. Our kids have Dermatitis Herpetiformis as red blistery rash that only

happens with the contact with gluten.....if they have a cut on their

skin....wala they get the rash...accidentally put fingers with gluten laced play

dough in mouth...walla they get the rash. Very painful rash....feels like being

bitten by ants! We have a big problem with gluten in this house...some docs say

it is TRUE allergy. We play with CLAY, because we don't mess with rice either

or any of the gluten free grains. Rice put KiKi in the hospital. Plus now we

know that many dyes (could be in play dough) are not safe and have gluten too!

If the gluten in the play dough wasn't enough! CLAY is fun and SCDIET

SAFE....look into it. It's impossible to keep their darn fingers out of their

mouths!

Re: Easter Egg Coloring

Thanks for the web site,Summer.

Can you please explain your statement:

> Food coloring vies for the same detoxification pathways as heavy

metals and other toxins, they have to be eliminated by the body.

Anyone with these issues are then in double jeopardy with the gluten

as well.

I do not have a very scientific mind and have been trying to piece all

this together for my little guy. Does playing with play dough and

crayola markers have a bad affect also. He will sometimes mark on

himself with the markers. I have not given them to him for some time

but he plays with a cheap playdough 1-2 times a week.
