Guest guest
I have been fighting cp for so long. I had been to Hopkins and they couldn't help ime. I found an excellent Dr. in Philadelphia who has finally made me get well. He works out of Fox Chase Cancer Center, but he will take people with cp that do not have cancer. He worked a miracle on me. He saved me from losing my pancreas completely. I have 4 stents that go from the tip of the dorsal pancreatic duct to the opening of the duct. Then he cut the opening and sewed it open. After the procedure I was in the hospital for about 5 days.I had very little pain after the surgery and I am now coming off of all the pain killers I was on.. I am so happy. I have been sick for so long and by hook or by crook I found this Dr. who knows so much about the pancreas. I can only look at him with total admiration. He has brought me back to the world of the living. I am just so glad to be alive, instead of wondering is this the time that my pancreas goes and I will never see my children grow up. Since I have found this Dr. I know I have soooooooooo much living to do. I am going to catch up on all that I have lost. I send my prayers out to all of you that you find someone as wonderful and as qualified . Paget

We hear so much of the struggles and bad moments with this disease, that it is always so exciting to hear about the positive experiences someone has. Please share the name of this compassionate and well qualified doctor who has literally turned your life around. We need to have his name on our doctor's referral list, for there may be others in that area that could use his help. Is there a particular name for the procedure that he did for you? Will these stents be permanent or will further surgery be necessary? It's so good to hear the happiness in your message, it just makes me feel warm all over to know that you are doing so well. Thank you for sharing your joy with us. It brings a smile to my heart and reinforces the belief that if one perseveres, and has a doctor dedicated to his practice of healing, that there is hope.
