Guest guest
Hello Friends, I have a friend here in Colorado whose son has a baby in California with CF. She sent me this email and I thought I would ask you guys for your ideas. I told her I felt that much of this could be just a normal interest in so much else that eating is not a top priority, but any extra tips would be appreciated. I am leaving in a couple of days, so if anyone can reply in the next day or so, it would be great. Thanks! Guest guest
Hi my name is Becky and I have 8 kids .2 have CF and some have been picky eaters. You may find at her age she will probably graze more than eat " meals " we used a muffin tin to keep small snack type foods in .Those Mini kind of crackers with cheese or peanut butter, some dry cereal , veggie julienne sticks(or use a veggie peeler to curl them ) and some barbecue sauce ,ketchup, cheese to dip them in.If she drinks whole milk add cream or half and half for extra calories.Puddings made with half and half ,cereals ,sauces, even mac and cheese they all add up to extra calories. The clinic where you go can also prescribe polycose or scandical they are powders that add calories to everything they are mixed in.Good Wishes as we all know this is a frustrating part of CF but not impossible, sometimes it helps just knowing someone else has made it thru what you are going thru.My cf'ers are 19 1/2 yrs and 6 yrs.If you need to my e-mail is hlbbet@... I will help any way I can .Becky.-Mama to 8 -2w/cf-Nana to

Guest guest
Hi, Spicy scrambled eggs turned the trick for me when was this age, 1tbs mild salsa in added to the egg before scrambling with heavy cream. Then a toward the end of cooking add some shredded cheese. She also liked anything spicy! fries with bar-b-q sauce for dippin. Ranch dressing with anything (pretzels or veggies or chicken). and things that have a bit of garlic in them (like garlic and herb pasta sauce) . And yes had reflux but on the meds these things didn't give her much of a problem. I hope this helps! Guest guest
My Peyton was also a picky eater when she was younger. I found that she loved yogurt, pudding made with cream, cheese, oatmeal made with cream, etc. We even went through a stage in which I had to fry french fries every night, it seem like all kids love fries! Luckily they are high in fat. Hope this helps! ~Wendi mom to Peyton, 3wcf > Hello Friends, > I have a friend here in Colorado whose son has a baby in California with CF. > She sent me this email and I thought I would ask you guys for your ideas. > I told her I felt that much of this could be just a normal interest > in so much else that eating is not a top priority, but any extra tips > would be appreciated. > I am leaving in a couple of days, so if anyone can reply in the next > day or so, it would be great. > Thanks! > Lenora > > >Greetings Lenora: > >Just spoke to my son and they are concerned since Cameron has not been eating > >very well.
