Guest guest
I am new to this group so this question may have already been asked by someone else but I am going to ask it anyway. I was diagnosed with CP in June of 2002. I geuss I am one of the lucky ones. I receieved my SSDI benefits the first try but it took 8 months. I called and bugged them every week and also faxed them my medical records every time I saw the Doctor, to make sure they always had the most up to date info to base their decision. I had one ERCP done in Aug. of 2002 and ended up in the hosp. from it. I've had CT scans and MRCP's done since then. My L & A are almost always in the thousands when they are checked, sometimes I am not even in pain and they are high. I have been having alot of pain lately and the Norco just isn't cutting it, also the Norco makes me hyper (like I just drank 2 pots of coffee) so it makes pretty to rest when I take it. My doctor also has me Neurontin twice a day which does seem to help. When I saw the doctor today he suggested taking Vioxx for inflamation. Has anyone else taken this for CP? I know my pancrease is inflammed, you actually feel a bulge on the right side of my abdomin. I was wondering if the Voixx has anyone. I know it doesn't hurt to try but I am not so sure because I know it can cause bleeding problems and sometimes when my CP is really bad I get bloody diareah. My doctor says this from irratation in the pancrease. Also after my ERCP I had a really bad time and now the doctor wants to a colonoscpy and an upper GI Endoscopy. Has anyone had a bad reaction after these test? I am thankful for all of you out there that make it a point to help those of us " newbies " with information. The support that this group offers and the knowledge that you are not alone with this terrible disease is priceless. I wish you pain free days and May God Bless all of you and your families. I know this disease is tough on only the patient but hte families as well. Thank you Simi Valley, CA
