Is is any wonder that what works for some can be anathema to others. I had this " block " performed around 15 years ago and got little to no relief. Granted, it was a long time ago when I had my block performed and they may (and probably have) improved upon the procedure since my experience, however I even went on step further and have what was called a Thoracic Sympathectomy where the nerve(s) associated with pancreatic pain was removed completely. This afforded me relief for about 6 months until the nerve(s) grew back! This was news to me as I had no idea that this could happen and my doctor at the time didn't warn me of this potential eventuality.
