Let's encourage anyone who has had experience with any medication causing

Pancreatitis, new or an exacerbation, to post it to the board and we can keep an

ongoing list.

Drugs that cause Pancreatitis

    Azathioprine

    Thiazide

    Valproic acid

    2',3'-dideoxyinosine

    Sulfasalazine

    Trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole

    Pentamide

    Tetracycline

     Lasix /Furosemide

     Indocin

Medications that are associated with acute pancreatitis include,

aspirin

cimetidine (Tagamet)

didanosine

erythromycin

frusemide

methyldopa

metronidasole

nitrofurantoin

estrogens

paracetamol

pentamidine

rantidine (Zantac)

sodium valproate

sulindac

sulponamides

tetracyclines

thiazide (ide) diuretics
