" I am so sorry to hear that you have had such hard days recently. It has been years since Percocet has ever helped me. Keep an open mind about the possibility that there might come a time where you need additional pain medication that is structured to treat chronic pain. Percocet is designed for breakthrough pain for use on a short term basis. I do understand how frustrating things can get. I am personally, very frustrated with the way my disease takes its toll on my livelihood. And, it does seem overwhelming to even try to imagine living like this every day for the rest of my life. As much as I want to peuk sp? (throw up) when people tell me " that is why we only have to do it one day at a time " , I guess sometimes, I have to do it one hour or one minute at a time. And, " this too shall pass " does happen. I am just glad that we are here to help each other through these hard times. Karyn E. , RN, Exec.
