Guest guest
, Have you asked your doctor point blank: " Why do you want me to take antidepressants and why do you want me to specifically take a tricyclic? " That would be the quickest way of getting to the heart of the matter. And if your doctor doesn't answer your question to your liking you may wish to rectify that. If you are not depressed than the only reason I could think as to why you would be suggested to take antidepressants would be for chronic pain management and/or SOD treatment. Virtually all drugs are metabolized in the liver. Chronic Pancreatitis patients often are on narcotics from time to time, or even regularly to control the chronic pain. This can overtime damage the liver. I figure why take unnecessary drugs when I need to protect my liver for the long haul. Needless to say this is all just my opinion. Let us know what the doctor says as to why you are to be on antidepressants. thanks, Bert > I just dont know why they are so hell bent on getting me to take > anti depressants. I am not depressed. Guest guest
Hi , YOU are the best judge of your emotional state. DO NOT take antidepressants if you sincerely feel you don't need to. Anyway, that's my two cents. Best Regards, Jerry/NC ************************************* -- looking for the clinical point > I just dont know why they are so hell bent on getting me to take > anti depressants.
