Guest guest
, I am so sorry that you had another exacerbation of your pancreatitis. I am very glad to hear that you were well treated and cared for. It is encouraging that more and more doctors are becoming aware of how pancreatitis affects people. It is good to know they are learning that the pain of pancreatitis is so bad that it truly warrants treatment with strong pain meds. Considering nothing more than palliative care can be done the very least young doctors should be taught is to err on the side of compassion. Even if that means a few drug seekers abuse the system I think it is far better to occassionally medicate drug seekers (at least they are cared for in a safe environment where no harm will come to them) than to fail to treat some legit patients. Compassion and dignity is the very least ALL patients deserve. I hope your recovery is a quick one! Bert
