Guest guest
Page It's ok to have those feelings chronic illness takes alot from you and those around you. You said you need someone to talk to, a therapist. That may not be a bad idea. If your uncomfortable with that idea you do have options. You can talk to us here. If you family and friends are understanding you can talk to them. Or if you are a religious person you can contact your clergy. Many are more than willing to make hospital and/or house calls and unlike your Dr it doesn't cost when they walk threw the door. they seem to know more about restoring faith in life than anyone I've met. Though the thought of leaving the Dr's and nurses you've come to trust is a scarry one, look at it as they care enough to know when they can't help me anymore. Many Dr's don't know when to give up. Is there any possiblity of having the procedure somewhere you feel more comfortable in. I know a woman who was injured in an elevator accident. Our local hospitals surgery suites are on the 4th floor - elevator trip. She was so anxious about the whole thing that the surgeon moved it to another hospital 45 minutes away where surgery wing was on ground floor. Said the anxiety it created was an additional stress to her system that he wasn't willing to take Are you currently on any meds for depression. Cassei takes Wellbutrin. Dr has her on it for depression, ADHD and pain. Only thing it helps here with is the depression, it's not near as bad as what it was. Cassie's motto is " tomorrow will be better " . Then she'll say it may not be todays tomorrow but someday we're all going to be cured! So keep that in mind Patty Hurst Bangor, ME Maine State Rep PAI
