Hi ,

the culprit of the SARS was identified as a Paramyxovirus. That's a family

of viruses where for example the measles virus belongs to. And the three

patients here in Germany are doing better now. It's still a scary disease,

especially for people whose lungs are already in worse shape. But since the

docs have a handle now they will come up with some good treatments soon.

Hope you can go to Greece another time.

I agree with what others have said about wearing a mask. At our clinic

those with CF wear a mask the whole time they are there. While SARS is

certainly a concern, I would thing that there are also other bugs out there

much more likely to attack our little ones with CF. The mask is a simple

way to reduce that risk.

I think that is becoming the thing all over as well. I have seen it at most

/many of the cf ed days I have been to lately too. Best wishes to you all.
