As far as the ERCPist: yes it is a new doctor that is performing this - I went to entirely different hospital in the city to get a second opinion and he is willing to assume the diagnosis and treatment of this. I didn't think of what you pointed out - that a new person may see the bile system / pancreas differently than the previous doctor. I was more intent on getting a doctor to even think that my pancreas was worth looking into that I didn't think of the actual procedural interpretations. In addition, he is going to do and endoscopic ultrasound - which I understand is not something that is done very often. So to me, it sounds as if he is going to be looking for signs of chronic pancreatitis in addition to the duct anomalies. So now there is another thing that may end up for the better.
