I had an intrathecal pump placed a few weeks ago and am now up and

about cleaning house and doing all the things I need to do. I have

even been out driving. It is not to say that I don't have pain at

times because I do but I take one Actiq or Lortab and that is it.

Not like the old days where I had to have 2-3 actiq hanging out of

my mouth looking like some kind of walrus or something. I have had

two episodes where I had to take 3 actiq in one day but that is good

not 5 or 6 plus I was doing alot. I got my house ALL cleaned up

something I had not been able to do since moving in here in January.

I got it all cleaned up to sell, I have never been happy here, it's

just not me, I have a whirlpool tub I have never used. I am just a

simple girl and don't need extravagant things and this house is too

extravagant for me. I am looking forward to finding the right home

and settling in and going on with my life. I AM HAPPY AGAIN, I never

thought that could happen, but when you are so sick you can't even

brush your hair anything is an improvement. My husband and I got to

go out for a few simple pleasures in life and have had some fun. I

know the last time I posted I wrote that I didn't know if it had all

been worth it but I have to say YES it was, wouldn't want to do it

again but it was worth it. The only difference now is I can eat and

eat anything thing I want I had steak for the first time in a long

time. I usually ran to the bathroom after every meal and now I have

went the other way I am having to take stool softeners. I don't

understand why but who cares I'll take it. Well better go I haven't

read my BIBLE yet today.

,

the constipation may be due to the pain medication from the pump. You

might want to add more fiber to your diet or eat some prunes every day.

That would be better than taking stool softeners on a daily basis.

Other than that, I'm very happy to know that the pump is working and

covering most of your pain. I'm so glad you can get back to eating

anything you want.
