Hurricane Isabel

Well, Isabel is gone. We had winds around 70 mph, but not much rain, only about

1.33 inches. The house is fine and we never lost electricity. However, there are

lots of trees down and something like 250,000 people without power. Many roads

are blocked and it looks like most everything will be shut down tomorrow. The

airport (RDU) will remain closed on Friday.

Thanks for your kind thoughts!

Jerry,

All those collective prayers worked! I'm glad that you didn't have

any problems and remained safe and sound. I just need to be

able to get through to one more of my relative's who lives just

northwest of DC, and then all my prayers will be answered.

Good thing you stocked up ahead of time so you don't have to

worry about shopping.

Take care.

With hope and prayers,

Heidi
