I have 2 girls, almost 2 and 4. I have fought pancreatitis for 16 years. It is a terrible desease because it is a theif. It has robbed me of a normal life, and it takes me away from my girls and husband. You have found a great site, everyone here is compassionate and understands the pain you feel. This is also a great place to find answers to your questions. As far as your " sob story " we all have to share the bad feelings as well as the good, you have to let that stuff out somehow and this is the perfect place to do it!!! I also have decreased amylase and lipase levels with attacks as do many others on the site. It comes with damage to the pancreas and its inability to crank out the levels it used to. I hope you are well; keep on writing any time we love to here from you. Love and warmth, Keri Beck RN Mattoon, IL Remember I am only speaking from personal experience and advise should not be taken as or instead of medical counsel.
