Jean, Thank you for thinking of me again. Your kind wishes are most welcome. I have to say that as exciting as the prospect of being free of this disease is, I am really nervous about such a big surgery. Guess I would have to be crazy not to be worried huh? I wish you had better news about . I hate to think about the sadness your grandchildren are facing on a daily basis. Do you think it is to the point that they need intervention? You may at some point have to decide if it is too bad for the children to stay the way it is and involve social services. Don't get me wrong, I am not implying that the children should be taken away, just that perhaps if a professional was involved, that they would have the opportunity to get counseling and other help. It sounds as though the whole family could use some help. I am sure that in her state of mind would turn down the help if it was offered now. I can't tell you what to do. And frankly I don't know what I would do if it was me in the situation. None of us truly knows what we would do, unless we actually become faced with the circumstances ourselves. But if you offer her the opportunity to get help and she still refuses, it might be worth talking to someone in Child Services yourself to see what help is available. I don't want to overstep my bounds, so let me just make sure I say that I am not suggesting you do anything, just trying to help think of possible solutions to a difficult situation. I will write again through you. I probably won't have time until tonight. But I promise you I will do it within 48 hours. You are in my thoughts and prayers, Keri
