You're welcome to e-mail me directly at protea@... for any

information I can provide about visiting Hawaii. Pearl Harbor and the

Arizona Memorial are on the main island of Oahu, as is Waikiki,

Honolulu, and the North Shore for big surf. I live on the island of

Maui, and we say " Maui No Kai Oi, " which means " Maui is the Best. " I

go to Oahu at least once a year, so can answer your questions, I

think.

As for diagnosis, you're right, nothing is confirmed. The doctors

will admit I had acute pancreatitis in November, 2001. But why I have

had continual problems with pain, bloating, tenderness, absorption,

etc., they have no idea. Nor what caused pancreatitis in the first

place.

I am quite concerned that the nausea, which began just a couple of

weeks ago, is increasing in frequency and intensity. I'm scheduled

for a complete physical in July and don't plan to talk to my doctor

before then unless something drastic happens. I'm taking Karyn's

wonderful list of questions to ask the doctor with me and will use it

to be more proactive.
