Patty,

I am so glad that your doctors appointment was a success. It is good news to

hear. So often we hear of the bad doctors. Every time I hear a good

experience it tends to restore a little more faith in the medical community. I

know

that you spend so much of your time worrying about Cassie. Well Mom, it is

now time to start worrying about you too! Don't over due it. You need your

rest. Was there any talk of starting you on pancreatic enzymes? That might be

a

good thing for you. Does Cassie take them?

Sending lots of happy thoughts your way....

Marisa,

We discussed enzymes but she wants to wait till I see the GI. Says she's not

sure about appropriate dosages, which ones are better etc.. So I may have

to wait till I get to see GI, then again the lab results and CT may tell her

different. I know that they can be benificial to many. For Cassie they were

not any real help they 1st time we tried them. Last month whe started with pain

EVERY time she ate. After getting nowhere with her pedetrician and an ER

visit that finally got her pain relief I finally got to speak with her GI. He

was on 2 week reserve duty, anyway he agreed with me and we restarted enzymes.

Funny they weren't helping before but since she started taking them again, she

has only asked for a pain meds once since her restart. I think when they put

her on them the 1st time they expected them to cure her, not just help to

decrease the frequency of attacks and to help prevent malabsoroption.

Thanks for you well wishes. And yes Mike is making me take care of me.
