Guest guest
Hi Sheila, do you need the job for the money or the insurance? Or was it more for your self-esteem and the socializing? My wife is a stay-at-home-mom and I am very proud of her that she never questions that status. I think it's a very important job and she is great at it! She is helping out in Fiona's kindergarten very often (when you can't say " No " this can easily become a full-time job, LOL) and carries Fiona from one activity to the other in the afternoons. Add the household and the garden then Silke is far away from being jobless. So if you don't need the money, enjoy your life with and leave the office job to someone else. Just my two cent. Guest guest
It's emotionally hard to be surplussed. I am sure that it will work out for the best though. Hang in there. Guest guest
Thanks for reply. My husband and I just bought a new house in April so we have a pretty big mortgage but at least we do not have to worry about insurance. It's a little bit of both really, I can't really afford to give up work yet - our little one Jake starts school next September and perhaps then I can think about having a very small job just to make up the shortfall. As for self esteem and socializing. It does help being in a situation where things are just as they were before 's diagnosis, talking to others helps you realise that we are not the only ones with problems and worries (some worse than ours). I think from know on in all situations I will take one day at a time and try to live that day as best I can for me and for those around me. Torsten it sounds as if Silke is wonder woman - perhaps you could help her out more and do the gardening (only joking) - I hope Silke, Fiona and your " soon to be are doing fine " . Take care Sheila xxxxx
