Becky--I think it all depends on the condition of your husband's

pancreas. Is this the first acute attack he's had? He will

definitely want to stay away from alcohol. I don't drink alcohol or

smoke and have had CP for about nine years now. I also know of

others who have had acute attacks and have been fine for years

afterwards.
