Guest guest
Hi everyone, Recently I was in the hospital for CP attack. I had been doing well before that since March of 2002. Ever since my last attack, (I was admitted twice in one week Aug 28-29 and readmitted Sept 1-2) I have had a constant problem with nausea. I use to be able to eat anything with out it bothering me. I thought at first the nausea and awful gas was caused by the new pancreatic enzymes I was put on. So after a week I had the doctor put me on my orginal enzymes. I'm having alot more difficulty with my diet. Things like butter, chocolate or milk didn't bother me before. I have switched to low fat dinners (mainly frozen dinners)How much fat should I eat daily? Occasionaly at work I have indulged myself with chocolate. If I eat the slightest amount of candy it really causes nausea, bloating, gas, pain radiating center to right side under rib cage. I know that the last ERCP I had back in March 2002 the doctor said I have Advancing Pancreatic Cirrohsis. I am 35 use to be active but feel tired all the time now. I have gained 30lbs in one year.. What I would like to know is how bad is my CP now if it was considered Advancing over a year ago. Also my GI doctor does not see me regularly instead just refills my medicine. He has referred me to a " ERCP specialist " at Jewish Hospital in Louisville,Kentucky for possible stents because of my most recent admissions. (Which my amylase, lipase, ct scans, all normal). I don't know about anyone else but when I was in the ER both times the doctor wanted to know why I thought I was having a pancreatitis attack when my labs and scans were normal. I have accepted my disease but I'm not so sure about the stents. I know I'm rambling but I'm trying to figure out if this is the right treatment for me.
