Are you sure your not talking about Zithromax? Deb A

Could it be possible that you misunderstood and that he

said " zithromax " ? Zithromax is azithromycin and is not entirely new,

but is just now being used as a widely accepted choice in cf, not

only because of it's antibiotic properties, but also because it is an

anti-inflamatory and it seems to break down the biofilm that

pseudomonas creates to protect itself. Zithromax is prescribed three

times per week or every other day as a maintanence drug in cf. I

understand that it is more effective when used in conjunction with

another antibiotic to erradicate p.a.

Could this be what he was talking about?

Zithromax is a macrolide antibiotic. We have a few files in our list
