Guest guest
Myrna, Yes, I have found that in most cases any of the pancreatic enzyme supplements do cause some weight gain. Yet, it's as I was explaining to Cheryl, you really have to look at it as a beneficial side effect, because it means that they are doing what they are supposed to do by helping the CP patient to absorb those much needed nutrients. With my severe malabsorption, without those enzymes I'd still be skin and bones. By taking a large quantitiy of them with everything I eat now, they have helped me to gain a few pounds. I can understand why that would be a negative to some people, but certainly not to me! My son, too, is USAF. He just got reassigned to Altus, OK after 10 years at ton, SC. It will be hard having him so far away from home, especially since he is taking our grandson with him (sigh). Take care. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Have you found that Viokase causes most people to gain weight? I sure felt it has me. Myrna
