Guest guest
Keri, Thank you so much for responding to my post. I have had " stomach trouble " all my life. Since grade school, I have " suffered " from " stomach aches " all the time, but didn't say much to my parents. I believe I have had this problem for a lot longer than anyone knows. I have SOD and a loop in my pancreatic duct, which keeps my pressures up, but each time I have an ERCP and stenting I, of course, end up in the hospital with acute pancreatitis. Catch 22. I was started on BCP's at age 18 because I had ovarian cysts and also because my periods were so sporatic, anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 weeks, with 7-10 days of bleeding. When I think about it I started having increased pain from then on. I was always told I had IBS (don't we all know about that. I think most of us have been told that!!!). Everytime I was put on medication for IBS it did NOTHING. I stopped taking it and nothing happened, gee I wonder why? Maybe because that was not what my problem was!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, wouldn't you have thought that my OB, Internist, or GI doc would have said something to me about the pills? It is so hard these days to get a good doctor and it is especially hard for us CP patients. Do you think I should get with my Internist or GI doc about this? Should I stop the pills? I don't know where to go from here. Anyway, again, thank you so much for responding and listening. I really appreciate it. God Bless and hope you have a pain free week!!!
