Guest guest
Hey, Bend, Oregon, I would call that a face to face meeting! I get inquiries for these every day. I received one yesterday from California. Unfortunately, we tried to hold face to face meetings in Indianapolis for almost a year, the problem----everybody was too sick to come. After multiple attempts we found that the online support group was our best attempt to connect. Our current challenge is reaching out to those who do not have a computer. One of the first grants I am going to seek out is to obtain some form of email connection to anyone whose life has been affected by Pancreatitis. Can you imagine how terribly alone they must feel. My heart goes out to them. Until that is possible, the current program that I have been working on is establishing a telephone support line. That way people who do not have a computer can be connected with a person or people who live within their area code. Possibly, with free long distance programs, we can have a nationwide network. the primary thing is that no one should be at home facing the challenges of this disease alone. Hopefully, sooner rather than later, the PAI membership application will be ready. It will be in the same format as the Symposium Registration, (of course, the working model). Anyone who wants to sign up to participate in the telephone support line can do so within the optional components of this form. Karyn E. , RN, Exec.
