Guest guest
Page, those feelings are perfectly normal. I don't know of anyone with this disease who doesn't hate it. And, sad to say, the depression is also normal with this disease. You might want to talk to your doctor about possibly going on an anti-depressant. They do help believe me. They don't totally get rid of depressed feelings, but they keep you from staying depressed for any length of time. So you might be depressed for a day or so, but then you bounce back out of it. I also have a psychologist that I see every three weeks. And of course, having this group, where I know I'm not alone with this disease, with how I feel about it and how I handle it. The thoughts of having to deal with new doctors is always a scary process, especially when your current doctors are much appreciated and trusted. Is there a third hospital anywhere near you that you might go to instead of the one you hate? Or even one within a couple of hours drive? I know that many of us in this group see doctors and hospitals that are a ways away from where we live, but getting good doctors and hospitals is more important to us than having to go farther away. Just trying to be of some help. Also, I forgot where you are located. If you remind us of this, maybe someone on the group will know of a knowledgeable doctor and hospital, so if you can't continue to see your current doctors, you have another alternative. If you ever need to talk, email me directly. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@...
