Guest guest
Hi Christal, While I would rather that we had never met, 'cause then neither of our children would have CF, I'm glad that you have found your way to cfparents. If we must endure this voyage, at least we can do it together. My name is , and I am a stay at home mum (or, as my husband would have it, kept woman) with two beautiful girls. My eldest is Cathryn, known as Cate. She doesn't have CF but she does have adolescence. My youngest is Sian (pronounced " Sharn " ) who does have CF. She is double D508, but has mainly gastric problems. Speaking of Sian's gastro-intestinal extravaganzas - guess what group? Oh yeah, she's blocked up again. Another lump the size of my little finger inside her cecum. Back on Colonlytely for days - we started with one litre late this afternoon. Would you believe she knocked it back in just over 2 hours! It's already started doing its stuff. So yet again, my life is going down the toilet! I'm getting tired of this. (I can't blame my whinging on just this though - my best friend had an emergency C-section at 12.24am Friday morning. Both she and the baby nearly died. Baby is doing really well now, even though he was 6 1/2 weeks early. My friend is doing better now - her blood pressure is down from 220/190 to 135/90. I have spent most of the last six days driving backwards and forwards across town and looking after her 12 month old baby. Her husband got back from the United Arab Emeritz when was two days old. It's just been a whole couple of weeks like that over here. I got knocked back by the University, Doug has had impossible deadlines to meet and has been working 15-19 hour days, Rita died, Jill's marriage broke down, my brother got second degree burns on his torso, arm and hip and so on and so on rhubarb rhubarb rhubarb, whinge bitch moan.) I need to get over this. Or I need a rest from reality for a while. Anybody want to join my little complete lack of reality session? Much love, and I will try to post something cheerful next time, - Mum to Cate 10yrs wocf and Sian 6yrs wcf, asthma, GERD and ADD?
