Dear Cystic Fibrosis Teens, Adults and Parents,

It’s time for a day retreat! It’s time for you to connect with other CF

teens, adults and parents. It’s time for you to have fun! Come to the CFRI

day retreat this summer – we’ve got it all! We created a safe place to get

away from your routine and learn from other teens and adults with CF!

We kick-off the retreat Monday afternoon, August 4, 2003 and finish up

Friday morning, August 8, 2003.

The retreat will be held at the Vallombrosa Conference Center in Menlo Park,

California, just minutes from Stanford Hospital. The enclosed flyer will

provide you directions and other pertinent information on the Retreat. While

we would love to have you there the whole time, come for as long as you can.

CFRI is sponsoring the Day program only. (Booking of overnight

accommodations at Vallombrosa Conference Center or at local hotels will be

the responsibility of Retreat attendees).

We are planning to include the following activities in our retreat:

educational sessions, exercise activities, and rap sessions. Parents,

siblings over the age of 15 or guardians can choose to relax or attend

educational events, rap sessions and recreational activities.

Space is available for all.

Applications will be processed in a first come first serve basis

with preference given to teens and adults with CF.

Application packets with medical release forms, guidelines and sponsorship

forms are attached and hardcopies are available at your request and can be

e-mailed, faxed or mailed to you. You can also find the application packet

online at www.cfri.org <http://www.cfri.org/> . Please call ,

fax or e-mail (progmgr@...) us at CFRI with your request

and a packet will be mailed to your attention. CFRI must receive the

application and fees by July 20, 2003.

A list of hotels and accommodations in local vicinity will be available at

your request.

The cost of this year’s Day Retreat will be $40 per person for the entire

week.

We encourage you to collect sponsor donations to help fund raise for the Day

Retreat. Scholarships are available. No one will be turned away on the

basis of money.
