Guest guest
Ranjeev, I'm sure you'll probably hear this from a lot of us. The number one thing to remember about recovering from pancreatitis is absolutely NO alcohol. Also best not to smoke either. This means never doing either again in your lifetime. Even though alcohol may not have been the cause, once you have pancreatitis,. you become sensitive to all other causes of pancreatitis. This means the pancreas is now sensitive to alcohol and if you do drink, even if only once a year, it could still damage your pancreas, maybe even bring on another attack. I know that I am so sensitive to alcohol now that I can't even cook with the stuff. Diet wise, low fat to no fat diet. Probably about 20 grams of fat a day is what most of us do. Learn to read labels because a lot of food has hidden fat and stuff in it. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@...
