Guest guest
, Thank you for mentioning the Lipisorb. I take a comprehensive liquid vitamin / mineral supplement, but it is not specially prepared for persons with Pancreatitis. I visited the Mead website, who makes this product. I was impressed that Chronic Pancreatitis is listed as one of the chronic illness with fat malabsorption that would benefit from this product. (I wrote them a letter thanking them for acknowledging this disease, as it is often never mentioned in such discussions.) The website for additional information on Lipisorb is: http://www.meadjohnson.com/products/hcp-adult-med/lipisorb.html In reading the nutritional composition of Lipisorb, it stood up well next to many other liquid nutritional supplements. In fact, it was better, since it is designed for greater absorption using MCT and soy oil. It is recommended that a supplement of EFA (essential fatty acids) be included in your regimen. FYI: Lipisorb is also sold at CVS stores nation wide. The cost is ~$83.76 per case, 8 oz each, 24/case = ~$3.40 each. I will make this information available on the website.
