I would think that anything with water in it would not be good for a CF child because of the bacteria that breed in water. I would check in to this air purifier more before I spent that kind of money. Deb A
Guest guest
Has anyone ever heard of the rainbow vacuum cleaner? For those that haven't, it is a vacuum cleaner that uses water to collect the dirt and debris instead of a bag. When it was demonstrated I was definately impressed by that part of it. There wasn't a bunch of dust and particles flying around like there is when I use my regular vacuum. It is also suppose to be an air purifier. That is what I am a little sceptical about. How can you tell if an air purifier is really purifying the air or if it is just blowing it around? Does anyone have any info on this machine? It is quite expensive....$1,700, I think. _________________________________________________________________ Help STOP SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail
Guest guest
Rainbow is supposed to be to vacuum cleaners what Mercedes is to cars. My sister had one and loved it, but they are high dollar. The way to tell if it is cleaning the air is to let it run for awhile then check the water. The air is supposed to be cleaned while passing through the water, so dirty water should mean cleaner air. Since you empty the water each time it's used, you don't have to worry about just blowing the dirty air around the room. They are great for cleaning and freshening the air (they come with different scents that you can add to the water,) but still, nearly $2,000 for a vacuum is pretty steep. ~ > Has anyone ever heard of the rainbow vacuum cleaner? Guest guest
WOW...You are so right. We have one in our support groups who sells them. He has CF & his mom says that is why is soooooo healthy. He is 43yrs & still doing so well. he looks more like a body builder then someone with CF. .The only thing he doesn't like about doing them is he doesn't have insurance as each demonstrator is an independent contractor . He says it is such a great machine.....He did a couple demos for the support group ..not for sales but he showed us the difference in the air. Folks couldn't believe so much still in a spotless clean home. I think we forget , air---etc-is coming in every second. YES. that isn't JUST A VACUUM.....It is a very strong air cleaner . the beauty is you can take it in different rooms. or do it more in one place than the other etc....... Thanks for the reminder about that. LOVE & HUGS, GrandmomBEV Re: " The Rainbow " vacuum cleaner Rainbow is supposed to be to vacuum cleaners what Mercedes is to cars.
