Hi I am having my sons IEP revisited on Monday and I am doing a positive

student profile to give them an idea about who my child is. One of the

questions is what are my dreams for and this is how I responded, what

do you think? " I have many dreams for , I want to be happy,

to be healthy and to grow to be an old man. I want to be married and

have children who bring him joy just as much as he does to us. I want

to Live life to the fullest, always stopping to take a look around, to

appreciate what life gives us. I dream for a Cure.

It's funny how the dreams for your child becomes so basic when they have

something like CF to deal with. I have thought a lot about how what I

dream for my children has changed since CF entered our lives. I sent out

an appeal for donations to my friends and family this year for the Great

Strides walk and I wrote the following line in my letter:

" Most parents think about what their children will be like when they grow

up and hope for their future, we hope for a cure so Emma can have a

future. "

- mom to the butterfly girls Emma 2 1/2 years w/cf and acid reflux

and Isabelle 4 1/2 years wo/cf
