Guest guest
We could have an on-line seminar on this one. I have MS as well as cf, and Evening Primrose oil or its essential fatty acids are being used increasingly. Now, where is that Internet Explorer Launch? Thank you, ! n Rojas
Guest guest
hi all can i ask why people dont use evening primose oil? If there is a problem in Cf with the delta6 deasturase enzyme then why dont we skip past that and give gammalinolenicn acid, you increase the low levels of linolenicn acid and it converts to prostaglandin E1 which are the ones we want(antiinflammatory, etc) You just need to have adequate Vit C and B3 in the body. Delta 6 desaturase enzymes inhibitors trans fatty acids(Margarines, reheated oils, macdonalds etc) Hormones released by adrenals during stress Alpha-linolenic acid found in soy and linseed oils (thought this was very interesting) Simple carbohydrates that produce rapid rise in blood sugars alcohol I know that when my natropath suggested Liam go on evening primose I didnt want to, being scared to increase omega 6 and no 3. Anyway he gained so much weight during that time. I have taken him off it and know he is gaining slowly again. I will put him back on 3 a week of 500mg. I actaully have found a book on evening primose and it talks about CF and the benifits. Do many people with CF have asthma, eczema and allergies?? These all the same common factor of a faulty desaturase 6 enzymes but in CF it is alot worse. If a CF child showed up these symptoms it would suggest wrong balance of fatty acids in the body Any thoughts on all of this mum to Liam 8 1/2 months old and a little charmer, I'm sure he wont have trouble turning heads. my husband came up to me the other day and said " everyone says Liam looks so handsome and looks like me, so what they are really saying is that I'm a good looking guy. I just laughed and agreed, I couldnt very well say anything else.
Guest guest
Hi I'm not sure about the evening primrose oil, but I do know this, lots of CFers have asthma and allergies, too. Many times those who are misdiagnosed are diagnosed as having asthma and allergies, not CF. I am not sure about the eczema though. fatty acids (evening primrose) hi all can i ask why people dont use evening primose oil?
