Guest guest
Heidi, I've been " down " with my pain and nausea and haven't had a chance to say YOU ARE VERY WELCOME. Please let me know when you get your blookwork back and any other insight your doctor has. Be well, Jill
Guest guest
Heidi, Best wishes to you and a speedy recovery. I am so sorry you are going through all of this still. So I take it you have a laptop there in the hospital with you. I know when I have mine it at least helps to make the hospitilization more bearable. Guest guest
Lily, you need to get yourself some sleep girl (This time I'm playing Nurse Ratchet!). I hope her mom can help her get into the new housing, I know that worrrys about her girls being in that neighborhood she's currently in. Don't wear yourself out. Guest guest
Hello Heidi, I'm sorry you're still not back to your usual self and I wish you the speediest recovery. You have always given me (and everyone else!) so much information and food for thought. You are in my thoughts and prayers at the moment. Interesting about your genetic tests. I'm having same tests just now. I'm expecting to hear from the geneticist before too long. I have the full details of what I was told at the first meeting my husband and I had with him but I can't remember everything! I'll exchange info at another time when I have it all to hand. They have discovered the genetic mutation for about 80% of familial or hereditary pancreatitis cases but they believe there are other mutations yet to be discovered as about 20% of what appear to be obviously hereditary cases don't reveal one of the known mutations. (Does that make sense as I've expressed it?!) The research is relatively recent anyway and the known mutations were only discovered in the 90's, I believe. Anyway, whatever the cause of this strange and disconcerting disease we have, I wish you less pain etc. as soon as possible. Thank God we can share our experiencec with others. Best wishes, Fliss
