I can speak for myself & my 3 daughters. YOU BET YA!!! That teacher is a

disgrace to us all. .Do go to the Principal. then , if that isn't done

THEN. Go to the school board. I really don't think trying to get around

the current Teacher (?) is the way to expedite this. This Child NEEDS

it corrected NOW- & the current teacher written up & put on probation.

That is why you go to all the trouble to have the I E P and as stated

in Crystal's post. " ITS THE LAW.. " maybe her hubby will also come to

the school & read her the riot act as well.

How anyone could do & say such things to a child and/or his mom is

beyond me.

I do so much wish you well .You & your precious family are in all my

special thoughts & wishes.

LOVE & HUGS,

Re: I E P put together but now is being revisited

and teacher problems.

I am a teacher and I am appalled to be one when there are people like

her around!

The Law is on your side, she must accomodate the IEP and it's

mandates. Get EVERYTHING you want in that document and make sure you

keep track of all conversations, notes etc. Visit with the Assistant

Principal as soon as you can. I'm curious how old the teacher is....

Relax -- you are doing the right thing. Keeping your child healthy is

number one. A year before our son (wcf) was born my husband had a cf

child in his 7th grade class. The kid was absent an extended amount of

time and then underwent a liver transplant. When the 7th grade team met

to discuss the child one of the older teachers was very

nit-picky about late work from the cf child and not accepting certain

things based on a time issue. My husband yelled at the woman -- how

could she be so unkind when this boy might not even make it 8th

grade!?! The cf child is now in 9th grade and doing quite well. He

passed 7th grade, albeit barely, but he did because the teachers were

made to realize the circumstances. So, keep going -- You have the

support of two teachers right here (and how ever many more are on this

listserv).
