I think that this issue first arose with Tay-Sachs Disease and with

Sickle Cell Anemia and then Huntington's Chorea; that list is getting

larger.

Our child with cystic fibrosis was our third child and came just after we

had learned that my husband's brother was a carrier and the nephew

did have cystic fibrosis, not coeliac disease. I cannot say what I would

have done had I known, but am inclined to think that we might just have

taken our chances; the older two kids really wanted one more--probably

so the kids could out-number the adults in our household!

Thought-provoking information indeed; thank you for sending it,

n Rojas, wcf, mom of 3 older adult " kids, " youngest wcf, too (36yr)
