,

This happened to me with my left forearm when mine blew on

day 2. The catherter was inserted about halfway between the

wrist and elbow and when the vein blew, my lower arm swelled

up three times it's normal size. I don't know if this was noted on

the nurse's report or not.

How did they find the clot? Do I need to make sure my doctor

knows about this, and does it need to be included in my records

for future hospitalizations? Each time a vein blew, no one else

was around except me and the nurse.

With hope and prayers,

PICC line but 5 days after that went in, my line infiltrated, arm and

neck swelled up and I ended up with a 6 inch blood clot in my left

subclavier and left jugular. I'm lucky they caught it when they

did..would hate to think about it getting any further north...
