Guest guest
Welcome back. I am sorry is feeling so poorly. I hope you can find out what is going on and get her well soon. Dawn mom of 4, 7 and under, the youngest wcf Please put be back on e-group.........I am back from vacation Hey...the Disney Cruise was great! The people there incredible. Everyone was " Have a Magical Day! " not one mean cranky person in Disney....present company excluded. Kids had a great time..loved it. The day before we left I took to Dr. - she had virus/fever. The entire time she NEVER stopped coughing. A few workers on the Ship said SARS to her...she had no clue what they meant.. A man on the plane changed seats...it was awful.. She had back pain all week I was worried. We cut our trip short by 3 days. We got back and took her to CF Center. Of course, our CF Dr. on VACATION................ so we had a replacement.....Dr. Arthur DeLuca...anyone know him in PA?? He was going to do IV but didn't as she was hysterical crying at the mention of steriods. He told my husband her xray was " not normal " tell me what the hell that means? I am still trying to get a verbal on the xray.....apparently EVERYONE is on vacation !!!!!!!! She's on cipro/coly/etc..increased vest....the whole 9 yards and MISERABLE.....is she crying because she is coughing or vice versa - its hard to tell at times! When I went in the Ocean at Nassau I swear I heard someone scream SHAMU.......................just kidding......... Missed you all................. Rosemary in NY with 3 children (12, 10 and 6) with CF. I have a dog named TOBI and coined the phrase " BREATHE DAMMIT "
Guest guest
WELL --At first start of reading , I was saying --wow-great........But as you continued , I was sad that the cough had to mess some of it up for ...I do hop SARS was explained to her & she wasn't in that situation at all. Bless her heart ! ! I know that had to bug you as well.--Except for the fact that it wouldn't have been the best for her-I would had told all those around why she was coughing & to sit back & relax in the friendly skies OR------ it wouldn't be so friendly :) Is she feeling better now? I sure do hope so. Also I wonder how come the docs all take vacation at same times.-I know they do take vacations with their families too, but ----they could check with you first,-right ??. It sure isn't the same as with ole Dr G. is it......?I wish you had called me when you moored & I would have taken you to our center right here in Orlando.Dr Weatherly , Geller, or Livingston know CF really well..........They are right downtown, easy access to parks ,etc too. Its called the NEMOURS CF Center ....... You didn't mention this-- , so I am hoping the other half enjoyed trip & was human with all......... You'll still have to get some time to sit back & relax.........hopefully, you got some aboard ship .....Just remember , I will still keep my light on........... It is great your all back ----- LOVE & HUGS, GRANDMOMBEV Please put be back on e-group.........I am back from vacation Hey...the Disney Cruise was great! The people there incredible.
